Dealer Onboarding

Getting your vehicles on CarMarket AU

There are three ways to list your dealership's inventory. Pick the one that matches how your stock is managed — you can always switch or combine methods later.

Recommended

Stock Feed URL

Nightly auto-sync

Paste a URL that points to your inventory in JSON or CSV format. We fetch it every night and add, update, and mark sold vehicles automatically.

Best for

Most dealers — any DMS or exporter that can produce a public or auth-protected feed link.

How to set it up

  1. 1Ask your DMS / website provider for your stock feed URL (JSON or CSV)
  2. 2Go to Dashboard → Showroom → Stock Feed Settings
  3. 3Paste the URL, choose JSON or CSV, and add an auth header if your feed is protected
  4. 4Click Sync now to test, then leave it — nightly syncs keep you current

Pros

  • Zero technical setup on your side — just a link
  • Handles adds, updates, price changes and sold vehicles
  • Works with any provider that can export a feed

Cons

  • Updates appear the next day (not instant)
  • Feed must be publicly reachable or use a static auth header
Real-time

Push Webhook

Real-time (on demand)

Your DMS or exporter POSTs stock updates to a unique webhook URL the moment a vehicle is added, changed, or sold. Fastest option, but needs a tech-savvy exporter.

Best for

Dealers with an in-house DMS, a developer, or an exporter that supports outbound webhooks.

How to set it up

  1. 1Sign up and find your unique sync token in Dashboard → Showroom → Sync Webhook
  2. 2Give your DMS provider the webhook URL and your sync token
  3. 3They POST stock updates as vehicles change — listings update within seconds

Pros

  • Inventory updates appear in seconds, not hours
  • No polling — updates only when something actually changes
  • Great for high-turnover dealerships

Cons

  • Requires your DMS to actively send updates
  • Needs developer or exporter support to set up
Simple

Manual Entry

Per listing

Use the same Sell My Car flow as private sellers. Best for dealers with a handful of vehicles or those testing the platform before connecting a feed.

Best for

Dealers with under ~10 vehicles, or anyone wanting to list a vehicle immediately while setting up a feed.

How to set it up

  1. 1Go to Sell My Car from the header
  2. 2Enter vehicle details, upload up to 20 photos, set your price
  3. 3Publish — the listing is live instantly

Pros

  • Live immediately, no setup
  • Full control over every field and photo
  • Good fallback while a feed is being arranged

Cons

  • Manual work for every vehicle
  • Not practical above ~10–20 vehicles
